This news is part of EDP Sciences’ ongoing "Road to Open" series, now in its ninth update, which highlights our commitment to transparency in open access publishing. Here we focus on the importance of transparency in open access, at the occasion of the release of our 2024 transparency report, showcasing the financial and operational details of the Subscribe to Open model for mathematics journals. Transparency in open access publication, both financial and otherwise, ensures trust, accountability, and the integrity of the scholarly communication process. ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
You are invited to take part in the discrete optimization and packing & routing clusters in the 23rd IFORS Triennial Conference.
These two clusters welcome presentations of innovative theoretical and applied research on discrete optimization and packing and routing. Presentations cover awide range of recent theoretical and applied advances in exact and approximate approches, offline and online optimization in deterministicor stochastic contexts. Academics and students in operational research, mathematical modelling, data analytics, computer science, logistics, management, industrial engineering, system engineering and economics are encouraged to submit abstracts to one of the sessions. Practitioners, Researchers and Stakeholders are welcome to present real life applications and intriguing combined problems requiring the attention of the operational research community.

Subscribe-to-Open 2023 Transparency Report for maths journals provides expanded metrics and analysis, marking the third year of commitment to transparency

We are delighted to release the Subscribe to Open (S2O) 2023 Transparency Report for our mathematics journals* co-published by EDP Sciences and the Société de Mathématiques Industrielles et Appliquées (SMAI). Following the announcement that the journals will continue to publish in open access in 2023, this report marks our third consecutive year of providing this comprehensive overview, reinforcing our commitment to transparency. By presenting a detailed analysis of metrics such as subscription prices, subscription renewals, costs, and usage data, it offers a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of the S2O initiative for these titles.
Maths journals adopt new Data Policy to encourage transparency on research data

Many research papers published in mathematics journals include numerical results obtained through computation. By default, EDP Sciences has a policy of encouraging authors to upload data and code related to their research to an online repository, and to include a data availability statement and data/code citations in their articles. Five of the maths journals published by EDP Sciences in partnership with the Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles (SMAI) have implemented a more prescriptive data sharing policy.
Library community backs Subscribe to Open Mathematics journals - open access continues in 2023

EDP Sciences and the Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles (SMAI) are delighted to announce that their Subscribe to Open (S2O) model for open access publication of six mathematics journals* has been successfully supported by the library community for another year, allowing the journals to continue to be published in open access in 2023.
